Clinical Year Education Program

The Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences administers the Clinical Year (“Visiting Scholars”) Program through individual memorandum of understanding agreements with Ross University, St. George’s University, and St. Matthew’s University and welcomes students from all of these veterinary schools.

This program offers a mixed animal experience with most required rotations through Small Animal Medicine, Surgery (Soft Tissue and Orthopedics), Primary Care, Anesthesia, Diagnostic Imaging, Intensive and Critical Care, Ophthalmology, Equine Medicine and Surgery, Production Medicine, and Clinical Pathology/Necropsy. Numerous elective rotations are available and there is ample time for externships to fulfill the clinical year requirements for each university.
