The Iowa State University Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center offers a state-of-the-art orthopedic and neurosurgical service for small animals. Three ACVS board-certified surgeons and three surgical residents are available to provide expertise, diagnostics, and treatment recommendations for your pet. With outstanding support staff and advanced imaging including MRI, CT, digital radiography, and myelography, complicated orthopedic and neurologic conditions can be evaluated.

We have the expertise and equipment to perform the following procedures:

Platelet Enrichment Therapy is available for dogs with osteoarthritis
Total hip replacement
Fracture repair
Surgical treatment for Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) rupture
Arthroscopy
Triple pelvic osteotomy (TPO) for canine hip dysplasia
Patellar luxation repair

Treatment of angular limb deformities
Sporting dog injuries
Muscle and tendon injury evaluation and repair
Hip luxation repair
Joint arthrodesis
Neurologic surgery
Bone tumor resection
