Iowa State offers the only veterinary hospital in Iowa with board-certified medical and radiation oncologists to treat cancer in animals. To expand our capacity to serve our patients and clients, we have Iowa Board of Regents permission to proceed with planning and fundraising for the construction of a Pet Cancer Clinic at the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center. With an estimated cost of $7 million and a location adjacent to the radiation therapy facility (Phase I), the new Pet Cancer Clinic will provide a centralized, state-of-the-art facility for this care, as well as enhance clinical trial capabilities.
