Appointments for the Dermatology Service are scheduled through the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center’s Small Animal Reception Desk at 515-294-4900. Appointments (first-time and recheck) are available Monday-Friday. Please be sure to indicate what type of dermatology condition your pet has (e.g., ear or skin condition, allergy) so that you are scheduled with the appropriate amount of time for your pet.
Frequently we work with your regular (local) veterinarian to help determine the best diagnostic and therapeutic plan for your pet. If you have been working with a local veterinarian, please be sure to have your veterinarian send a copy of your records either with you, during your appointment, or email the records to (dermatology@iastate.edu) prior to your appointment.
Because we are often faced with challenging dermatologic conditions, please understand that some new appointments require several hours to complete. If you are having allergy testing on your pet, please note the special protocols concerning medications and diet that will be discussed with you when you schedule your appointment.
