Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and the Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center have access to the only board certified veterinary dental specialist in the state of Iowa. Our state-of-the-art dentistry and oral surgery operatory can provide treatment for broken or fractured teeth, periodontal disease, root canal therapy, restorative procedures including treatment of caries (cavities), oronasal fistula repair (communication of the oral cavity and nasal cavity), non-invasive jaw fracture repair, and oncologic surgery of the oral cavity (tumor biopsy or resection). Not only will your pet be evaluated and treated by a board certified veterinary dental specialist, but it will also be under the care of a highly trained team of anesthesia staff.
