Assist with professional program questions, and provide guidance to resources for students who may 
be experiencing or having concerns in the College of Veterinary Medicine. Violation of Title IX or other federal, state, or local laws require OASA reporting to the appropriate units. Students also can directly contact the below resources. Notifying OASA as well is often helpful for a more rapid resolution of the issues.

Funded entirely by the Government of the 
Student Body, Student Legal Services (SLS) 
is a legal aid office for students currently 
enrolled at Iowa State University and registered Iowa State University student groups. It is staffed by two attorneys who advise and often represent students in a variety of cases and are available for consultation with respect to most 
legal concerns.

Veterinary students have access to secure and confidential counseling services on site in the College of Veterinary Medicine. CVM students also have the option of attending counseling on central campus. Financial planning begins the day a student matriculates. A financial literacy advisor provides seminars and individual guidance in financial planning. Topics include: Credit and Credit Scoring, Student Loan Repayment Options, Retirement, Investment and Job Benefits, etc. Individual financial planning afternoon appointments (Fridays 12-4pm), currently in OASA.
