Steven received his BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Iowa State University. Steven oversees the Information Technology for the college. Areas of expertise and responsibilities include:
- Manage day to day operations for IT
- Oversight and support of IT for Academic Departments, hospital and students
- Work with Associate Dean and College IT staff for College wide IT Strategic and Policy planning
- Over site of web presence
- Create and maintain IT budget; revenue acquisition
- Order and approve standards for College IT equipment and software and support oversight
- Work with vendors to negotiate hardware and software renewals
- Committees: Mobile computer; CLIM; ITLC; Windows Administrators, Linux Administrators, SCCM, CCSG, College Web group, College IT managers, Academic IT
- Communication between CVM and campus IT and Telecommunications and technology initiatives
- Backup assistance for technology positions
- Resource for faculty, staff, and students for IT questions
- Provide technical assistance and implementation support for Web project

Mark Slagell

- Programming, especially in the area of electronic medical laboratory and hospital information systems
- CVIS/VetStar/VADDS expertise
- Creating web-based platforms and applications for hospital and laboratory information systems
- Integration of imaging, diagnostic results, reports and billing into electronic medical records
