Dr. William Hoefle worked in a private small animal practice in Hollywood, Florida after graduation. He returned to Iowa State in 1970 to do a small animal surgery residency. He stayed at ISU, where he recently retired as a professor in small animal surgery. He also helped to start a small animal specialty hospital in Las Vegas in early 2000s.
