Courses in veterinary diagnostic and production animal medicine provide students with basic and advanced skills in diagnostics, reproduction, medicine, surgery, production, and health management of the major livestock species.

Empowering Future Production Animal Veterinarians
Production animal medicine emphasizes the integration of veterinary medicine with nutrition, genetics, economics, food safety, and other disciplines, enabling graduates to acquire and use a broad knowledge base to support the health and improve the production and efficiency of the food supply chain.

Summer Opportunities
Since summer 2006, the Veterinary Internship Program has enabled over 400 students to supplement their classroom learning with hands-on, real-life experiences alongside practicing food animal veterinarians.
