Admissions

1. Applicants must expect to hold a BS degree or a BA with a science major
2. Common undergraduate coursework includes biological sciences, chemistry, engineering-related courses, physics
3. GPA of 3.0/4.0
4. GPA in science coursework 3.0/4.0 cumulatively
5. GRE and other standardized tests are not required

• Complete the ISU Graduate College online application
  • US Graduate Application Instructions
  • International Graduate Application Instructions
• Submit 3 letters of recommendation
  • References listed on your application will automatically receive a link
• Unofficial test scores and transcripts (official scores and transcripts are requested upon acceptance to the program)
  • Application decisions and responses will be made on a rolling basis.

Tuition and Fees

• Tuition and fees information is available on the Registrar’s site.
• Biomedical Sciences falls under “Graduate (most majors)” on the tuition and fees webpage
• Assistantships are not available for this program
• For international students, a financial statement must be submitted

  1.  Official test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of at least 79 (internet-based) (Code-6306, Dept.-45) OR
  2. Official International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of at least 6.5
  3. Tests waived for native English speakers and students graduating from countries where English is the official language
